Ben G.
With the release of his EP, "Cut You In," Métis singer/songwriter, Ben G. became the first London, Ontario solo act to win a Richardson Music Award and London Music Award in the same year.
The EP was recorded with world renowned producer/multi-instrumentalist, Dave Thompson. Known for his work with artists Theresa Sokyrka (Maple/Universal - Canadian Idol) Leslie Carter (of House Of Carters.) and High Holy Days (Roadrunner/Universal).
Without the backing of a record label, Ben G. has been received positively by audiences in Canada and around the world.
Accessing print, radio and television media, national exposure from an interview on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) kicked off the release of "Cut You In." APTN showcased the track, "Let Me Go," from the EP with a “making of” video montage of the artist – rock music fans across Canada were instantly captivated. He is now part of Cweedbands Aboriginal Artists Music Rack at CD Plus, and was named “CD of the Month” for March 2009. The display is sponsored by APTN, NewCap Radio and Cweed band.
