DYLAN MURRAY
"I refuse to deny myself any of my dreams, and I encourage others to do the same" Dylan Murray. Dylan Murray’s sound is something that is hard to come by in the music industry these days. His music reflects the relaxed, positive spirit of his persona. Born and raised in Toronto, this singer/songwriter taught himself to play guitar, and soon after began writing his own songs. Since deciding to pursue his dream full-time, Dylan has had nearly two million hits on his website www.dylanmurray.net, and has become a mainstay in the underground music arena “This is who I am, today and tomorrow” Along with rock and folk influences, Dylan has been particularly touched by reggae music. At eighteen, a trip to Jamaica would prove to change Dylan’s outlook on life and deepen his musical influences. Throughout his stay on the island, Dylan became immersed in Jamaican culture and saw the unimaginable poverty that afflicted the country, inner city communities, and especially the children he worked with. Dylan is dedicated to creating positive movements and refuses to be passive, in his fight to help make the world a better place. His experiences have stayed with him in his heart and can be heard in his music. Most recently Dylan Murray charted at 5 on Much More Music, for his video “I Haven’t Decided Yet” and Entertainment Tonight (Canada) named him "one of the next artists to look out for".
