KERT  GARTNER

   Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kert Gartner has become a lover of all things related to the visual arts. With a passion for Photography, Animation, and Visual Effects, Kert in in the midst of a long, prosperous career in these fields.

Being completely self taught, Kert has over 12 years of experience in the Visual Effects, and Motion Graphics industry, starting way back in 1997 with the creation of his first BMX video. He spent 7 years working on some of Hollywood's largest films, including Superman returns, Across the Universe, X-men III, and Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D.

Kert took an interest in photography around 1999 with the discovery of his grandpa's old Canon AE-1, 35mm SLR, which he still uses to this day. Kert has devoted himself to exploring new and unique photography techniques, including the use of Infrared film
