MARK  BOUCHER

Mark Boucher is a Montreal-born artist who has been living in downtown Toronto since 1998. Before settling into his current medium of photography, mark had dabbled in graphic arts, poetry, and most notably music, where he had a 2-year stint in a band with Toronto singer/songwriter Dyniss. His work in photography, as well as his music, is heavily influenced by his travels abroad, which have taken him to Japan (where he lived for a year), Mexico, Costa Rica, China, Thailand, Cuba, western Europe, much of the USA, and all across Canada.

Mark enjoys experimenting with a variety of styles & subjects (just check out his stuff on Flickr), but has a particularly keen interest in finding unusual, often humorous ways of presenting subjects.

Though an artist only by hobby, Mark has sold the rights to several of his images for corporate & commercial use, and his work has been featured online in Rolling Stone Magazine &  Natural Geographic -Russia. He has previously worked for 4 years as a printer and continues to practice  digital photo manipulation & restoration.

Mark is currently working as an educator in the public health care industry.  He has no cavities.
